What Is the Difference Between Invasive, Non-Invasive and Minimally Invasive Treatments?

So if we were to go back around 10 years ago we would only be able to get a well known procedure such as vein stripping, which is a extremely invasive procedure that requires painful incisions, lots of anesthetic, and lengthy recovery times and is essentially surgery. There are many vein clinics around that deal with Non invasive procedures they are  now very popular not just because of the lack of a scar but because they often involve less time during treatment and afterward for recovery. Those days however are far behind us thanks to the technological advances we have made, we are now able to make vein treatments very simple and quick with minimally invasive procedures, such as Clarivein, and MechanoChemical Ablation (MOCA), Endovenous Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA), and VenaSeal Closure System.

These procedures are all performed here in Las Vegas at the Alpha Vein Clinic. The VenaSeal procedure is the newest we have available and pushing more towards being completely pain free, with little to no recovery time and not having to deal with the hassle of wearing compression stockings.

Here is an example of what Dr.Sassan will do to treat your leg veins!

THE PROCEDURE:

Dr. Sassan Kaveh will discuss the procedure with you.  A brief summary of what to expect is below:

  • You may feel some minor pain or stinging with a needle stick to numb the site where he will access your vein.
  • Once the area is numb, he will insert the catheter into your leg. You may feel some pressure from the placement of the catheter.
  • The catheter will be placed in specific areas along the diseased vein to deliver small amounts of the medical adhesive. You may feel some mild sensation of pulling or tugging. Ultrasound will be used during the procedure to guide and position the catheter.
  • After treatment, the catheter is removed and a bandage placed over the puncture site.
