What Varicose Vein treatments are available in Las Vegas?
Varicose veins are the result of engorged, twisted veins that have been weakened or damaged. When these veins are unable to bring blood back to the heart, the vein fills with the excess blood and becomes swollen. Varicose veins tend to appear blue or red, near the skin’s surface; although they can occur deeper and appear as varying shades of purple or even green. Veins that are varicose tend to cause uncomfortable, often painful symptoms that can hinder your regular daily routine.
If you are wondering how to rid yourself of your swollen veins, Alpha Vein Clinic in Las Vegas offers preferred procedures that can yield fantastic clinical and cosmetic results with the use of Radiofrequency Ablation and ClariVein. Alpha Vein Clinic’s physician, Dr. Sassan Kaveh, performs the newest and least invasive procedures on the market. Dr. Kaveh is beloved by his patients and works with each individual case by offering an in depth evaluation and a personal consultation.

Radio Frequency Ablation Procedure
The Radio Frequency Ablation procedure is a clinical treatment for the elimination of varicose veins and the symptoms of Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI). The successful treatment of CVI also produces significant cosmetic improvements. Varicose veins are an uncomfortable, unsightly and frustrating symptom of CVI. However the progression of venous disease can lead to further complications like skin discoloration and ulcers. Vein treatment is the first step an individual with vein disease needs to take to have a life with healthy legs and veins. Radiofrequency Ablation is a common procedure used over the last 10 years to treat Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI).
This procedure is minimally invasive and consists of the Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) Catheter being inserted to collapse and close enlarged leg veins. After the diseased vein is sealed shut, blood is naturally rerouted through healthy veins. There is little to no scarring, post-procedure. Dr. Sassan Kaveh performs Radiofrequency Ablation in our comfortable office setting under local anesthesia. With RF Ablation, you’ll see less pain, bruising and complications than with that of painful vein stripping. At Alpha Vein Clinic, we take every precaution to ensure that all risks are minimized and have had great results with our patients who have chosen this treatment. This vein closure treatment works well in about 97% of cases.
Laser Ablation Procedure
The Laser Ablation procedure has been developed to treat CVI by delivering laser energy through a small puncture in the leg to close the diseased vein. The entire procedure can be done in less than an hour. During the procedure you will be awake and your leg will be anesthetized. A thin laser fiber will be inserted into your diseased vein and laser will be delivered to close the vein. Laser Ablation has more bruising and more pain in compare to Radio Frequency Ablation.
ClariVein at Alpha Vein Clinic
ClariVein has been reported as being both safe and effective, with no major complications after the procedure. The average ClariVein treatment takes about 20 minutes per vein. Note that procedure time may vary depending on your individual needs, but ClariVein is proven to be quick and convenient. ClariVein uses no heat, so you will be able to rapidly return to normal activities.
The ClariVein advantage includes the following:
- Effective and safe technique with no pain
- Minimal discomfort & negligible bruising
- No risk of thermal (heat) damage
- No risk of nerve or skin damage
- No multiple needle stick injuries (no tumescent anaesthetic is required)
- No internal leg pressure
ClariVein offers greatly reduced pain levels, discomfort and bruising in recovery. The current 2 year data on ClariVein shows results at least as effective as other vein procedures, including Radiofrequency Ablation.
Vein stripping
Vein stripping is the very old way of removing the diseased vein. It is an invasive surgery and is not recommended anymore. Since there are so many minimally invasive treatments available today.
