- Leg Ulcer
- Your symptoms are interfering with your day to day life
Starting Treatment
We currently offer two of the most minimally invasive treatments for vein disease. ClariVein and Radiofrequency Ablation are the vein procedures of today. ClariVein (the newest procedure) involves the use of an ultra thin catheter with a rotating tip that introduces a chemical which closes off the unwanted vein with no heat involved. Radiofrequency Ablation uses a catheter to deliver very carefully controlled thermal radiofrequency to burn and close off affected veins. Both treatments are done with high-tech ultrasound guidance in the convenience and comfort of our vein clinic on an out-patient basis. Alpha Vein Clinic’s physician, Dr. Sassan Kaveh is one of the only physicians in Nevada that can perform the ClariVein procedure.
Will insurance cover my vein treatments?
Medical treatments can be expensive. Many of us have either had hospital bills or have a loved one who has dealt with extreme medical costs. This can be a stressful aspect of seeking treatment. Insurance is usually hugely helpful with medical costs but does your insurance cover vein treatment?
The cause of varicose veins is tied to insufficient blood flow which comes from leaky valves in the veins. If these veins are left untreated for long periods of time, your symptoms will not be alleviated, normal venous function would not be re-established, and more complications such as venous ulcers and Deep Vein Thrombosis can occur. This is why chronic venous insufficiency is a medical condition which is recognized by most insurance companies as a necessity to treat. Therefore, most major insurance companies cover the cost of the treatment.
At Alpha Vein Clinic we accept most insurance plans. We are a preferred center for Sierra insurance products. Currently all patients who have straight Medicare, Aetna, BCBS or Coventry as their primary insurance can enjoy the benefits of the ClariVein. Increasingly more and more insurances are covering this new technique. Most other insurance companies cover radiofrequency ablation. We are also now accepting VA patients with an approved referral. Our knowledgeable staff at Alpha Vein Clinic is more than happy to help you with insurance concerns. Our insurance specialist works closely with your insurance provider to get the maximum coverage allowed. As we are approaching the end of the year, most deductibles have been met, making out-of- pocket costs even lower.
